The Automatic Weather
Station in the Schwabing (strictly speaking Maxvorstadt) district of Munich is maintained by the Meteorological Institute of the
University of Munich. It is located about 1 km north of the city centre in wholly built-up,
urban surroundings. Real-time data from our station is now available here.
My own Munich data pages serve as a source of historical data for the station
back to 1982, which I hope will serve as a useful reference in parallel with the real-time data service.
I will continue to publish monthly data summaries and graphics of the temperature readings,
so as to extend the historical monthly statistics on this page.
